Rajasthan Mahila Gelda Senior Secondary School (RMV in short) established in year 1916 has long been recognized as a premier institution of secondary and higher secondary learning for girls. RMV is a centre of academic excellence and achievement. It is today one of the finest institutions in the heart of the city of lakes, Udaipur. Our institute’s striving is to imbue the teaching/learning process with a unique blend of intellectual rigor, aesthetic and ethical engagements. Our school has completed 100 years of glorious service as a pioneer in girls’ education. The school provides knowledge through value education and character building with honor and dignity.

Today, the school is located in a beautiful 65,460sq feet campus in Udaipur and has approximately 1000 students, over 50 faculty, administrative and supportive staff with all three faculties at Sr. Secondary level.
The journey well begun has infinite potential to evolve further setting newer standards of excellence.
School is affiliated by RBSE in 10+2 pattern and got permanent affilation in 1993.
In terms of infrastructure, RMV is one of the best school in the city. School campus is spread in 65,456 sq feet.
The class-rooms in the school retains their heritage look, the airy and huge class rooms at RMV facilitates a blend of traditional and modern modes of teaching with technological aids such as LCD projectors, Green board and podium for faculty.
We have auditorium too which extensively used by the students for extra-curricular activities and for hosting functions of the school. RMV auditorium has a seating capacity of about 500 people. It has an advanced light and sound system that is managed by specially designated support staff along with the students. It is equipped with a large stage, green room, comfortable seating and a podium.
Further complete school campus is equipped / installed with CCTV cameras for monitoring and maintaining discipline.
The school has a separate parking lot for students and staff.
The school canteen is a popular meeting place for students. It serves a variety of eatables at moderate prices. Our canteen has elegant tables and cozy chairs add comfort while enjoying array of savory food, having a seating capacity of 50 persons.
School has place of worship also which is available to all without any distinction.
We have many laboratories also.

Lab is equipped with musical instruments viz harmonium, sarod, tabla, congo and veena etc.

Computer Lab
The school has state of the art computer center having more than 20 computers with 1 server. All the computers in the centers are provided with the latest updated software and hardware. Internet, printing and scanning facilities are also available through network. The teaching of information technology and computer based papers is carried out. In addition, the center is also available for the students for accessing internet, practice and for preparation of their projects. Internet with more than 8 mbps data transfer rate is available.
School has vast library having seating capacity of 100 students. Well-stocked and presently having a collection of over twenty six thousand volumes on different subjects, latest publications in the fields of science , economics, humanities and social sciences are continuously added to the collection to equip students with a wide range of academics. Library also subscribes daily newspapers for latest happenings and information. Library opens for six hours from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
The school follows the (10+2) pattern of the R.B.S.E. VI to XII classes are run in school. Three streams of studies ( Science, Arts and Commerce ) are offered to the students at the plus two level

At RMV, Sports and Games Curriculum is an integral and compulsory part of the education process. Sports help to build character and teach the importance of discipline in life. Sports also are necessary for mental and intellectual development. It inculcates a respect for rules and allows the participants to learn the value to self-control. The RMV School has various sport facilities which a student can opt as per her interest and caliber; we also organize Annual Sports Day on 29th of August each year, in which various competitions in many sport events are being organized. This helps in preparing and identifying talent for representing for interschool and state level sports competition. We organize various sports like kabaddi ,Kho Kho ,Basket Ball ,Volley ball and various track and field events like 100 mtr,200 mtr ,800 mtr ,Javelin Throw, shot put etc.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC), an Indian Military cadet corps, is an organization of school through which high school girls are given basic military training in small arms and parade. We promote all our students to take part in this noble society of India, We have students achieving and bringing many laurels to our school and city, and this also helps becoming responsible citizens of India.
The Bharat Scout and Guide is national Scouting and Guiding association of India.
Scouting was founded in India in 1909 as an overseas branch of the Scout Association and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1938. Guiding in India started in 1911 and was amongst the founder members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1928.
The first Girl Guides Company was founded in Jabalpur in 1911.The school can also run this activities from for student welfare.
